Meet the Perkins Local School Board of Education members:

Jason Dulaney, Board President
Mr. Jason Dulaney was elected to the board in November 2015, and re-elected in 2019. Mr. Dulaney and his wife, Caroline, have two children: Wyatt graduated from Perkins High in 2022, and Keegan is a 10th-grader at PHS. Mr. Dulaney has been a passionate advocate for Perkins Schools, and has been an active leader on all the district’s recent levy campaigns.

Ted Kastor, Board Vice President
Mr. Ted Kastor was appointed to the board in 2018. He was re-elected in 2021. Mr. Kastor retired in 2021 from Janotta & Herner, Design-Build Contractors and still serves as an ambassador for the company. Last year he founded Kastor Construction LLC, a construction consulting firm. Mr. Kastor and his wife Denise, a Perkins graduate, have two children and three grandchildren residing in Columbus.

Scott Hart 
Mr. Scott Hart was appointed to the school board in January 2018, and re-elected in 2019. He is a senior engineer at Tenneco Research and Development in Milan and a Sandusky native. He is a graduate of Sandusky High School and has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo. Mr. Hart and his wife, Candice, have a son, Whitten, in 5th grade at Meadowlawn Intermediate School, and a daughter, Ireland, in the 8th grade at Briar Middle School.

Dr. Brad Mitchel
Dr. Brad Mitchel has been a member of the Perkins Local School District Board of Education since July 2011, and was last re-elected in 2019. 
He and his wife, Lisa, have two daughters, Emily, who is a senior at Perkins High School, and Natalie, who is a 9th-grader at Perkins High. Dr. Mitchel is an anesthesiologist, and practices at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky and Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He also serves on the board of directors for Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Eric Lapata
Mr. Eric Lapata was appointed to the board in 2020, and re-elected in 2021.  He is a 2004 graduate of Perkins High School and is co-lead pastor at The Chapel in Perkins Township. Mr. Lapata is married to Paula Lapata and the father of four young children: Hudson, a 4th grader at Meadowlawn, Micah, a 2nd grader at Furry, Remi, a kindergartner at Furry, and Eden, a preschooler at Furry.
