The Perkins High School fall sports teams had a banner season.
The Pirate football squad, despite its nail-biter loss in the closing minutes of the second round of the playoffs, finished its season with a 10-and-2 record and poised for a solid run next fall. The team went undefeated in the SBC Lake Division – and claim the SBC Conference trophy outright.
And the SBC Team football honors was a Who’s Who list of Pirates. Perkins quarterback Logan Lesch was named SBC Lake Division Most Outstanding Performer – and SBC Lake Division's First Team-Offense. More than a dozen other Pirates also received conference accolades.
Meantime, both the Boys and Girls Soccer teams were SBC Lake Division Champs – and Sectional Champs. Sophia Ralofsky led the 13-3-3 Girls team and was named Most Outstanding Performer. For the 12-6-1 Boys team, Jon Normington Slay was named Most Outstanding Performer.
Our Boys Cross-Country team was the runner-up in the SBC, and our Girls Golf team was third in the SBC. The Volleyball team was sectional champs and finished third in the SBC.
The Girls Tennis team finished in the SBC – and a doubles team of Ashi Kota and Katelyn Showalter reached the second round of the OHSAA District tournament.
Collectively, 55 Pirates across fall athletics garnered All-SBC first-team, second-team, and honorable mention honors.
